The Winter in Ovindoli starts at the end of November and goes on till beginning of May. It is a magic and long Season which gives its first signs just after San Martino Festival Day ( the 11 of November when new wine is ready to taste called “Novello” ) when the air becomes harder and the landscape seems to fall asleep. And everything is in silence waiting for its arrival: the snow.

Cioccovindoli, celebrating the 8th of December, opens indeed the new season with lots of chocolate.

For Ski Alpine and Snowboard lovers, Ovindoli-Magnola, Campo Imperatore and Campo Felice Ski resorts , le stazioni di sci Ovindoli-Campo Felice-Campo Imperatore offer together about 110 km of slopes to enjoy the beauty and the absolute fun sliding down in ski, snowboard and telemark. Well-known and organized Ski and Snowboard schools in Ovindoli offer lessons for all ages and needs (disability included). Modern equipment rentals for all tastes are present on the main square of prestigiuos Ovindoli-Magnola Ski Resort. Thanks to its north face and morphology and the copiousness of snow, our Ovindoli- Magnola Ski Resort permits to practise other Winter Sports such as Free-Style, Free-Ride and Snow-Kite to have a very great time in mountain.

During Winter Season an interesting Event Program is organised on the ski resort: Competitions, Dance_Hall Rider, Ski Test days, Music at night in the Huts, Night fire on skies at Christmas and Carnival Day, Ski Touring events.

Lovers of slow time and of wide white planes of our Velino-Sirente Regional Park can practise Cross-Country Ski by Piani di Pezza. Cross-Country schools and equipment rentals are also available in Rocca di Mezzo or Campo Felice to try and dicover this great and never ending Sport.

After copious snowfalls, one can appreciate a wonderful snowboot walk into the wood to discover the untouchable beauty of our nature. Interesting at the sam, the night snowboot walk. A program of excursions is available at the touristic office or in the Hotels of area.

Another incredible sport is Ski Touring that more is increasing appreciation between men and women. Thanks to lighter and performant equipments, Ski touring is the best sport to enjoy snow till the beginning of Summer to live Mountain in unforgettable excursions rich of emotions and sensations. home
